No one understands the weakness of a team when it starts to crumble, unless you're in that locker room and you're at the practices and you're at the timeouts over there at the benches. And then when your watching your team play, are they executing the game plan at both ends of the floor? And then where is the chemistry or lack of chemistry? Why is there a lack of chemistry?

소프트웨어 개발 팀에서도 마찬가지다. 개발의 현장에 끼어 있지 않은 채 팀의 문제점을 분석하려 들면 한계가 있다. 회의에 참석하지 않고, 안건을 들여다 보지 않으면서 개발팀의 문제점을 이해하려 하는 매니저가 있다면, 대화로 가르치려 하지 말고 문제의 현장으로 그를 초대하는 것이 낫다.
